Product feature
  1. Backpack technical tests.
Backpack components are approved in laboratory tests, including: fabric, buckles, webbing, foam, zips, etc. Fabrics are tested for:resistance to abrasion, tearing, colour durability against UV, washing, waterproofing...Then, a test is done on the finished product that acceleratedly simulates the kind of treatment it will be subjected to over the years to assess assembly strength:The backpack is weighted, placed on a dummy which reproduces the movement of fast walking through thousands of cycles.
  2. How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. We then empty the balls into a graduated container which provides the equivalent volume in litres with a tolerance ranging a couple of %.
  3. Environmental measurements
Oxylane, together with Quechua, has decided to inform you of the environmental impact of its hiking backpacks over their entire lifespan. This work follows an experiment that began in July 2011 with the French Ministry of Ecology. Scores ranging from A to E were awarded based on comparisons between Quechua's backpacks only. • Sturdy bag compatible with budget airlines

Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I bought this bag so I could have a bag for budget airlines but bigger than most standard cabin bags (they always let you off with flexible bags so you can pack more). Very sturdy, 3 inner mesh pockets and one outer, can be used as a backpack as well, but I haven't tried it yet. It can be folded down to a decent size as well when not used.
  • Amazing bag for women!

I rarely leave reviews but this bag deserved it! I never travel light so was nervous when told we only had hand luggage. After finding this bag reviewed on The Telegraph I purchased. I was not disappointed! It seems to just fit everything in nicely. Taking it to Tenerife end of the month! Plane safe!
  • A versatile bag for w/e or airline hand luggage

Saw this reviewed in the i paper, good general purpose bag.
Back pack style carry straps, handles top & end
Need more access from outside to pockets
  • Great for weekends

Bought this for it being close to maximum for cabin baggage, and it's a great bit of kit. seems to just swallow everything needed for a full weekend away in Europe.
  • Excellent bag

Great bag! Small enough for carryon, and we fit 2weeks of luggage in it using a compression bag with lots of space for souvenirs.

The surface finish scuffs a bit easily which is why it didn't get 5*, but for me it makes it look travelled and well used.
Small enough to use as carryon and tough!
