    Product feature
    1. Are there any particular safety precautions to take when using the Town 7?
You should always wear protective equipment (helmet, knee pads and elbow pads) when scootering. Most serious accidents take place during the first few months of use: Take the time to learn the basics of use to master speed and braking in any emergency situation and whatever the weather conditions (particularly on wet terrain).
    2. How do you fold/unfold the scooter?
Hands-free and in one second! What's the trick? Simply stand opposite your scooter with the frame straight in front of you and press the pedal, and your Town 7 is folded in less time than it takes to read the instructions.
    3. What is the glide quality like on this Oxelo scooter?
We have equipped this adult scooter with large 200 mm HIGH BOUNCE PU rubber wheels. A large wheel makes it easier to build up speed with minimum effort. The ABEC 5 bearings are very high quality to limit the amount you have to push yourself along, as well as limiting fatigue.
    4. How should you maintain your scooter?
The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Remember to check them and change them if necessary. You can repair and extend the lifespan of your scooter with spare parts that can be ordered through your local Decathlon store's Workshop. You can also get maintenance tips and tutorials on Oxelo's YouTube channel.
    5. Is the Oxelo Town 7 scooter suited to long journeys around town (more than 5 km)?
Ergonomic handles taken from the TOWN 7 EF, and a rubber grip on the deck that's comfy to stand on and absorbs vibrations from the road. The TOWN 7 adult scooter also has a bell so that you can make yourself heard. Last but not least, the handlebar is slightly forward for better steering control.
    6. Brakes and mudguard: handy for town
This scooter is equipped with a handlebar brake and a second brake on the rear wheel. This second brake comes in the form of a long mudguard that covers much of the wheel.
    7. How much does the Town 7 weigh?
6.4 kg making it easy to move in "trolley" mode: fold it up and drag it along like a suitcase.
    8. What is the maximum weight the Town 7 can take?
      100 kg.
    9. What safety precautions should you take with the Town 7 scooter?
We recommend checking your scooter before and after each ride to ensure that there is no abnormal play and no cracks or sharp edges.
    10. What should you do if there's play in the handlebar?
What with bumps in the road, repeated jarring and vibrations, it's normal for certain parts to come loose. You can have all of the screws tightened at your local Decathlon workshop or do so yourself with the Allen keys provided (designed to fit all of the scooter's parts).
    11. How are our products tested?
All of our scooters have been lab tested. These tests check compliance with the European standards for scooters, as well as looking for wear. For example, one of our tests involves a machine folding the scooter 10,000 times to check its folding system. As well as lab tests we do field tests - some measured and others based on the testers' opinions - to really put the product through its paces. The result is a tested, proven product.
    Product testing

    • Great Scooter, Awful (bordering dangerous) brake.

      Jones (United Kingdom)

Scooter is well constructed, folds nicely, and is generally a pleasure to ride until you encounter the need to stop. The rear brake despite all my weight (85kg) was effectively useless and that was on the flat, don't even consider building up any speed down hills - you simply cannot stop. I have no idea why these brakes are so badly thought out, it ruins the overall experience completely as you get nervous going at any speed knowing you cannot stop! You have been warned!
    • The Back break does not stop the scooter

    • Break useless.

I went to my local Decathlon today to try out various models.
This one was my favourite from looking online.
Im definitely glad I tried them out.
Unfortunately the break on this particular model is not good. It barely stops you at all and is very flimsy compared to the breaks used on the cheaper models that are avaliable.
I ended up choosing the higher priced town 9 which has a different break system.
      Easy to fold
Brake is not effective at all and is very flimsy
    • Love my Town 7 EF

Fashionable, easy-on-the-eye scooter. I use it to commute from my home to university which is 2-3 miles away almost everyday. It is perfect if you want to save some money on transport and do some exercise at the same time. It can be noisy on some pavements though.
Character, design, speed, easy to maneuver.
