    7. The + product
I-Reflect Technology: the aluminised I-Reflect film weighs only a few grammes but reflects 65% of the infra-red radiation emitted by the body. It improves the garment's insulation performance by an average of 15%, significantly reducing heat loss.
    8. Waterproof component
We test a fabric's resistance to water pressure by measuring the height of a column of water supported by the fabric in mm (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The better the fabric resists pressure, the more waterproof it is. A component with 2000mm waterproofing therefore resists the pressure exercised by 2000mm of water (which corresponds to about a 2-hour shower).
    9. How the recommended temperature is measured
Ambient temperature is thermally neutral: the user feels neither hot nor cold. Use temperature, in accordance with standard ISO 11079, under the following conditions: Walking at 4 km/h, no wind, cloudy. Jacket worn together with: upper body: long-sleeved T-shirt + shirt + sleeveless down gilet / lower body: tights + fleece base layer + trousers / head: chapka + hood / hands: under-gloves + gloves / feet: ski socks + boots.
    10. Waterproof component
We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure, expressed as a water column of mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure withstood, the more waterproof the fabric. A waterproof rating of 2000 mm means the fabric can withstand pressure exerted by 2000 mm of water (the equivalent of a rain shower lasting for two hours).
    11. Waterproofing
Technologies®: this garment has been subjected to a shower test using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
    12. Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 920 = little or no breathability.
    13. Water repellent component
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water to slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Water repellent treatment products are available in our stores. All Quechua waterproof jackets have received a water repellent treatment
    14. A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated based on its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall ABCDE score is applied to help you readily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental information. For more information visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Warm, waterproof, adaptable. I am pleased with this coat it is a practical and useful garment. I have noticed that many people have commented on the weight of this coat. It is slightly on the heavy side but this does make it very wind proof and durable. The only criticism I have is that the hood is a little small (maybe I have a long neck or large head?!!) and this means it feels slightly uncomfortable.
    • Very warm, waterproof, stylish and well made

This coat is brilliant for the price. I am comparing it to my old North Face ski-ing coat which would cost about £300 now to replace like for like with North Face. I live in a cold, high microclimate within the Peak District, and this coat is plenty warm enough to withstand our freezing temperatures and winds. Some of the reviews say it is heavy, I wouldn't disagree but equally I don't think you can expect a warm coat to be really lightweight at this price. It is extremely well made and looks very stylish. You can adjust the hood and the waistband to suit. Neither would I agree that the waist is high up - I am very short in the body and usually find the waist is too low on many clothes, and this sits equally a little low down, which is fine. I'm a size 14 bottom and 12 top, so I bought a large which fits very well, there is plenty of room in the bottom but it doesn't look too bulky at the top. This inner coat looks nicer on than on the website, its got a good fitted shape.
      Detailing, adjustability, warmth, price.
2 way zip would have been good but not essential
    • OK-ish for gentle winter

For this price I'd expect it would keep you warm even at -10C or -15C, unfortunately below zero it doesn't keep you warm even if you tighten it at the waist. The waist elastic is too high up, it should be below waist, but it's actually somewhere under the rib cage. Wind can easily blow under it and reach your groin area and lower back, leeching warmth from your body.

      The hood is nice though.

Price is too high for the warmth level this jacket provides.
      Style is nice
