"Rain-Cut Pant" overtrousers protect the lower body and provide comprehensive, highly-effective protection from the wind and rain showers. Care products: spray or liquid water repellent treatment: To renew the fabric's water repellent properties and optimise performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
    7. Waterproof component
This garment has been shower-tested using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
    8. Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 920 = little or no breathability.
    9. Water repellent component
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. The fabric is made water repellent by treating its outer surface. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended after every three washes). All Quechua waterproof jackets have received water-repellent treatment.

    • Good jacket for the price

Used for 1 week or less
I’m a medium size, but had to return the same size jacket, it was far too big. The extra small/small size fits well. I haven’t worn it in the rain yet. Fits into its own pocket.
    • Drizzle jacket ... Not for heavy Rain.

      Response of the brand
      Hello Mr. Sudhakaran,

Thanks for your time to review the Quechua Raincut hiking jacket. I apologise for the inconvenience caused to you.

To give you a small insight on this jacket's usage, the raincut jacket gives you good protection from the rain when you are hiking on the lowlands, which has been tested by our users on the field and in laboratory for ensuring the promise to our users. The jacket has its main stitches taped, along the shoulder line and chest, (where there is rain hitting you directly). Now, stitches on the side  and zipper are the only place water can enter inside ,as the fabric is totally waterproof to give protection from the rain. The promise breaks and water seeps in through side stitches or zippers when the usage is different (for example, say on mountains, the pressure with which the water hits you is higher than lowlands or even bike riding).

I apologise again for the inconvenience caused to you and I request you kindly to let me know your usage, which will allow me to recomenend you the right product for your usage,  in exchange for the current jacket at any of our stores closer to you.

      Sportively,
      Sandeep NAIR,
      Passionate Trekker.

Excellent. I mistakenly took XL which is really large to me. But it was completely my mistake. I tried M size and took XL mistakenly.

Used for More than 1 year
I am using this rain jacket for more than a year and it offers good protection in rains. The only issue is that some water gets inside the zippers area. If there is a velcro flap over the zippers, it will be a very good rain jacket.
