    Product feature
    1. Waterproofing of the component
A fabric's resistance to water pressure is measured by the height of a column of water that can be supported by the fabric in mm (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 2,000 mm is able to resist the pressure exerted by 2,000 mm of water (roughly equivalent to a 2-hour rain shower). Waterproofing is expressed in Schmerbers (for example: 2000 Schmerbers).
    2. Component breathability
To assess the breathability of the fabric, its evaporative resistance, RET (test based on Standard ISO 11092), is measured. The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity is evaporated, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 920 = little or no breathability.
    3. Durability of the components
Resistance to abrasion and chafing test: for example, we check that fleeces do not pill using tests conducted in the laboratory. Colour retention test: colour-fastness is verified to make sure that the colours do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Aging test: repeated washing must not affect the properties of the fabric, its behaviour, thickness or appearance.
    4. Windbreaker effect
Coating applied to the fabric makes it waterproof and windproof. Waterproof fabric has the necessary technical characteristics to be considered windproof. Protection from the wind is critical, as whether playing sports or at rest, wind can chill the body significantly.
    5. Technical details:
Elasticated cuffs. Inside mesh lining, ventilated back. Reflective strips on front and back of jacket. "Connected" pocket to allow earphones through.
    6. Product environmental impact comparison score
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental data of its products. For more information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/
    7. Care
1/ Machine wash (30 to 40°C): fasten hook & loop tabs, use gentle detergent. Wash jackets and trousers inside out. Loosen straps and elastics. 2/ Avoid folding the garment too much in the washing machine, as: this can damage it. 3/ Do not mix clothing styles and colours. 4/ Do not use bleach. 5/ Choose a long rinse and gentle spin cycle. 6/ Drying option: on a washing line or in the drier (minimum temperature, minimum duration).
