    Product feature
    1. Which size?
Place the shin guard as low as possible on your leg so that your ankles are well covered (make sure there are no pressure points and your ankle can move freely). Ideally, the top of the shin guard should come to 2 cm below your kneecap. Your shin guard should fit snugly around your calf without being too tight.
    2. Safety tips
Hockey should be fun. Play safely. Always wear your mouthguard, shin guards and a glove. Use hockey shoes with protective reinforcement and soles designed for your playing surface during matches and training.
    3. Protecting your legs
A shin guard is a piece of personal protection equipment. It should meet current regulations, including the PPE regulation (EU) 2016/425. Use a shin guard that was specifically designed for field hockey. A field hockey shin guard has two features specific to the sport: it covers the ankles and provides wide coverage around the legs. Football shin guards are not suitable for field hockey.
    4. Protecting your legs (cont.)
It features a moulded plastic plate that is generally lined with foam to absorb impacts. Replace your shin guard according to the manufacturer's indications or as soon as it begins to show signs of wear. Refer to the product user guide in case of questions.
    5. Design
Hard polymer plastic shell covers the sides of the leg and ankles with a raised central spine. Lined with hard foam. There are holes for ventilation. The shell is moulded in a relatively closed position to keep the product in place on the leg (there are no elastic straps). Left/right specific.
    6. Manufacturer's description
Anatomically designed shin guard with high quality materials and construction. Lightweight polymer shell with raised central spine to reduce frontal shin injuries. Unique ventilation design distributes airflow from the front and sides of leg. Left and right handed design, incorporating ankle padding.
    7. Information
The information here was provided by the manufacturer or observed by our teams from samples received from the manufacturer.
    8. Care advice
Brush off and wipe down your shin guard with a damp cloth. If the lining can be removed and washed, refer to the care instructions to do so. Allow to air dry.
    Product testing
    1. Storage advice

    2. Product restrictions
Not suitable for other sports or activities.

    • Light weight but good

Used for More than 1 year
I’ve used these for a year now after ten years with a foam based pair. These are light weight but strong. The material is comfortable and reduces sweat rash.
