This is a fantastic rope, handles great and feels really tough. Doubles up with my 8.6 half rope no bother. Bought to replace a very similar rope from another manufacturer and this is a like for like replacement only half the price! Well done Simmond and Decathlon, keep up the good work!

Very bright pink. Expected to be arrested by the colour police in Langdale! Seriously though, used alongside a half rope. Handled well straight away - no kinking, runs well through belay plate. Dry coating leaves a slightly sticky feeling on my fingers (hence 4 stars), but I expect that to disappear after a few uses. This being a triple rated rope I find it superb value for money. The rope seems to be every bit as good as any other brand. I am looking for ward to using it as a single, and enjoying the weight saving. I do recommend the edge dry rope if you are looking for great value. Or you could spend the extra fifty or sixty pounds and go with a better known brand. I suspect there are more brands than there are rope factories - if you get my drift. Once the label has fallen off the end its gonna be hard to tell the difference. It's your cash!

Have purchased ropes in the past from Decathlon and they performed well out of the packet. This rope however has a very sticky residue and I found it sticking in my hands and even jammed up our belaying devices. The sticky residue was inside my grigri2 and I had to clean it out after one climbing session it was like chewing gum. Has anyone else had this issue?
