    1. How to pack a backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Carry heavy gear (tent, stove, food) closest to your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet should be placed under the flap and the tent beneath the pack if there is no space inside. Keep a rainproof jacket and fleece close at hand. Place small items that are needed during the day (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. If you are carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.
    2. The Easyfit system
This patented system allows you to adjust your bag while on, with just a single movement, so that it fits your body shape: for maximum comfort.
    3. How to adjust your Forclaz EasyFit backpack?
FIRST, LOOSEN all the straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps). PUT THE BACKPACK ON. PLACE THE BELT ON THE HIPS (it should cover your pelvic bones) and TIGHTEN IT. Then PULL THE EasyFit TOGGLES; the strap block will go round your shoulders. Finally, ADJUST THE LOAD ADJUSTER STRAPS as needed.
    4. How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. We then empty the balls into a graduated container to measure the equivalent volume in litres within a few percentage points. The indicated unloaded weight is that of our reference sample. There may be slight variations.
    5. 10-year warranty conditions
The warranty covers any backpack faults, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year warranty is only valid with the product and sales receipt. If the product is under warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged for free. This commercial warranty does not affect any statutory rights that are applicable in the country of purchase.
    6. A score to compare the environmental impact of the products
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing them with products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.) Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental information. • Great rucksack

      Michal (United Kingdom)
Used for 3 to 6 months
Bought mainly with hiking in mind with occasional plane travel possibilities.

It is the best rucksack I've had. It looks great and is incredibly practical with the option of unzipping the front, allowing you to organise clothes and gear much more efficiently. It is very packable, allowing me to take 2 weeks worth of clothes on a plane on one trip, to then be carried over mountains when solo camping on the next.

It is very comfortable to wear with minimal load on the shoulders due to the hip belt and Easyfit system. The hip belt pocket is very handy too. A note on the hip belt, I wouldn't recommend wearing a chunky belt when carrying the pack over long distances, it can get quite uncomfortable.

The numerous straps, cords and pockets on the outside of the pack allowed me to strap a tent, sleeping mat, waterproof jacket, snacks and bottles of water for extra carrying capacity.

All in all, a fantastic rucksack which met and exceeded all of my needs. Looks great, loads great and carries great.
    • Perfect.

Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Perfect companion for a vacation. Easy to manage.
    • Great Bag

      (United Kingdom)
Used for 7 to 12 months
I bought a smaller Osprey Kestrel backpack for my day walks with my DofE groups and l don't think it is a patch on this bag. The many pockets allow you to store a multitude of items that are easy reachable. The zip make getting to the bottom of your bag easy. A great bag at a great price.
Number of compartments and the full main bag zip.
    • Decent Backpack

      Rahul (India)
Used for 7 to 12 months
A nice hiking and travel backpack with well placed accessories add-on's.

I like the spinal support with acupuncture like prongs.
It would be nice if the lower compartment had a bit more of volume, strengthening of the metal frame and a reduction in price of the product
sturdy with metal frame running along the back
      lack of volume in lower compartment;
    • Perfect bag for longer trips

      Ravi (India)
Used for More than 1 year
The bag I wanted needed to be light, spacious, durable and with plenty of features. I finalized on the forclaz 70 easyfit men.
The bag didn't disappoint me. We have travelled together to Sikkim (goecha la and month long mountaineering course), Ladakh(stok kangri) and some monsoon treks in Maharashtra( nalchivaat). This fella has been through a lot but still surprises me with the support and durability it provides. A few scratches here and there but those are battle scars(the ripstop fabric doesn't let the tears and cuts go any bigger). The in built rain cover helped a lot during climbing/crossing waterfalls in Nalchivaat. The 70 liter space was enough for carrying tent, sleeping bag and mat, food, clothes, 2L water and all the other essentials I needed for any of my long trek/expeditions/travels. The gender specific fit was pretty comfortable and easy to adjust too.
