  6. Hi-tech lining
Dual-material lining: mesh upper body to enhance the garment's breathability/nylon around the hips and sleeves to optimise ease of movement and resistance to wear.
  7. The component's waterproof properties
This garment has been shower-tested using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
  8. Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9 < RET < 12 = very breathable fabric / 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric / RET > 20 = fabric is not breathable or has low breathability.
  9. Component with coating or a membrane
The coating is like a layer of "paint" applied on the underside of the fabric to make it waterproof while remaining breathable. It is often less costly than a membrane, and requires a lining for protection. A membrane like a very fine plastic film (polyurethane) making the component waterproof while remaining breathable. A membrane has the edge, being more supple, lightweight, durable and often more breathable than coating.
  10. Water-repellent properties of the component
A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to repel water so that it runs off its surface. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. A fabric becomes water repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended after every three washes). All Quechua waterproof jackets have received a water-repellent treatment.
  11. Additional recommended products
Care products: spray or liquid water repellent treatment in the washing machine. To renew the fabric's water repellent properties and optimise performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
  12. Environmental measures
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall rating of ABCDE is provided to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type with each other (t-shirts, trousers and backpacks). Decathlon is a voluntary participant in this environmental labelling initiative. For further information:
  13. A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated across its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall ABCDE score is allocated to help you more readily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). This is a great jacket as it’s pretty light but at the same time keeps you dry and warm
  • Can't believe i have a complain with Decathlon

    Surya (India)
Used for 1 week or less
Never had such a bad fit or experience with any product of Decathlon since 5 years. The elastic draw cord gets loose up and hood falls off. The jacket keeps pulling up while walking and gets so uncomfortable. I have had 5-6 jackets/raincoat purchases from Decathlon so i am sure i have bought the right size but it just doesn't give me the right comfort.
  • lightweight ladies jacket

    SUE (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Good outdoor jacket for our changeable weather. I used it whilst on holiday, lightweight so no excess baggage in suitcase but very useful.
  • Amazing

    Extremely happy with this product.
I was looking for a light waterproof jacket for those rainy days but also a little bit "warm" and, it's PERFECT.
    Really good quality/price.
