Dual-material lining: mesh upper body to enhance the garment's breathability/nylon around the hips and sleeves to optimise ease of movement and resistance to wear.
    7. Additional recommended products
Care products: waterproofing spray or liquid in the machine to renew the fabric water-repellent properties and optimise performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
    8. Waterproof component
We measure a fabric's resistance to pressure from a jet of water, expressed in mm of the water jet (tests based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more the fabric is waterproof. Components scoring 2000 mm can resist the pressure from 2000 mm of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting two hour).
    9. Clothing waterproofing
This garment has been shower-tested using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
    10. Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 920 = little or no breathability.
    11. Component with coating or a membrane
Like a layer of "paint" applied on the underside of the fabric to make it waterproof while remaining breathable. It is often less costly than a membrane, and requires a lining for protection. The membrane is like a very fine plastic film (polyurethane) making the component waterproof while remaining breathable. It has the advantage of being more supple, lightweight, durable and often more breathable than the coating.
    12. Water repellent component
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. The fabric is made water repellent by treating its outer surface. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended after every three washes). All Quechua waterproof overtrousers have received water repellent treatment.
    13. Environmental measurements
The environmental impact of each product is calculated for the product's entire life cycle, using different indicators. A general ABCDE mark is attributed to help you identify the best environmental performance by comparing products to each other (t-shirts, rucksacks, etc). Decathlon volunteered to take part in this environmental display process. For more information, visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Great product at good price. No problems in the rain to date, kept me dry. Good buy.
    • Running seam that is not finished off

Running seam that is not finished off along the edges, at the wrists and several other parts of the jacket. It makes it look cheap and well manufactured. Moreover, I am afraid the jacket will not last too long once one of the threads work lose and the stitching comes apart. It's disappointing.
    • A great jacket for UK weather

Good, lightweight waterproof for walking/hiking and everyday use. The sizing is on the small size so I'd advise taking a size larger than your usual especially if pairing with a fleece or jumper
      Excellent waterproofing
Sizing. UK Large is closer to Medium

Bought this to go hiking in as didn't want to ruin north face jacket. Wish had bought this before north face as just as good (this actually has better ventilation but slightly less water proofing) and fraction of price
      Great fit and style
