    • not strong enough with weight.

      Paolo (United Kingdom)
Used for 3 to 6 months
The backpack is confortable enough. It is practical and handy. However, I used it only for training purposes. Never used it for a real hiking or climbing. Never been exposed to rain , cold or frictions against rocks. I used only on fitness training preparation for about 3 months with 20 kgs load. Mainly walking and climbing stairs. The bottom gave up and there is a rip as large a palm. In addition the inner coating is gone.
      Response of the brand
Thanks for the feedback on the Simond Alpinism backpack, I apologise for the inconvenience caused. This is something we haven't experienced before with this rucksack. Please can you drop into your local store where we can offer either a refund or exchange. It will also allow us to share the product with the engineers to determine the fault.

    • Good value but flimsy base

Used for More than 1 year
I bought this to replace a Karrimor Alpine sack that had lasted 20+ years. This is a good design and excellent value, but some of the material used is not durable. I've got holes in the base after less than 2 years' use, as the material is too flimsy - presumable in a misguided attempt to cut down weight. Now repaired with duct tape!
