    1. How to measure tyre wear?
To measure the wear on your road tyres and to know when they need replacing, you need to inspect the tread. Tread starting to fray, the appearance of a series of micro cracks and low tread depth are signs of wear before the stage where the carcass becomes visible. In all these cases the tyre is worn and needs replacing.
    2. How to remove your tyre
To remove your tyre, you need to deflate the inner tube until no more air comes out. Once deflated, use a tyre lever to remove the tyre from the rim.
    3. How to put your tyre back on
To put your tyre back on, first start by inserting one side of the tyre into the rim. Next, inflate your inner tube to approximately 30% before putting it into the tyre (inflating it beforehand reduces the risk of pinching the inner tube). Then, place the other side of the tyre into the rim, starting on the side opposite the valve. Before inflating the inner tube all the way, check to make sure it isn't pinched between the tyre and the rim.
    4. How to inflate your tyre correctly
Inflate your tyre with caution. The recommended pressure is indicated on the side of your tyre as well as on its product sheet (available online). Also, before each outing, make sure that your tyres are at the correct pressure for your ride.
    5. Tip from the pros
When inflating your tyre, make sure you inflate it to the suitable pressure for the terrain you will be riding on and, above all, the weather conditions you will be riding in. When riding in rainy weather, lower the tyre pressure to increase the tyre's grip. When riding in dry weather, you can increase the pressure. Also, before each outing, make sure that your tyres are at the correct pressure for your ride.
    Product testing
    1. Composition
      Membrane : 80.0% Rubber - Natural Rubber (NR) - Latex, 20.0% Rubber - Synthetic

    4. Cleaning advice
For full performance of this tyre, inflate between 6.0 and 8.0 bars depending on weather. You should also check the carcass regularly to avoid any risk of a puncture or an accident.

I replaced my summer road tyres for a set of these for the winter months and they are not to bad for the price.................but having been out and about in the cold damp mornings and evenings beware they are very slippery! I have had a couple of moments of bum twitching, all the said in the dry they are pretty reasonable and not to bad on light gravel either. You only get what you pay for! Forgot to mention easy to skid so be gentle on the back brake.

      Response of the brand
      Dear sir,
I tested these very same tyres last year and I too had a similar issue but then I decided to ride at around 90 psi (I weigh 75kg) and I found that the grip improved a lot with no effect particular on rolling resistance. I also found that they are very tough and I had no punctures over this period (great for commuting).
The tarmac has been particuarly cold of late which can affect traction a great deal.
Play around with the tyre pressure and see if this helps.

    • Cheap but...

      Dan (United Kingdom)
Used for 3 to 6 months
I have done 600 miles (recorded by gps) on a pair of these tyres and both are showing longitudinal cracks in the casing, where the tread meets the sidewall. I'm not heavy and they are run at their recommend pressure with the right size btwin inner tubes, so I have to question how well they are made? The tread section itself is actually showing very little wear and the front still shows the moulding flash. I don't really want to keep riding tyres with a visible fault, which makes them expensive for the mileage done!
      Cheap, tread is durable.
      Side walls cracking
      Response of the brand
      Dear Sir,
This is not normal at all. Please return them to us so that you may exchange them for a different pair.
I will forward your experience on to the product manager for tyres at b'Twin.

    • Great value for money

Not had these that long, but have tested them on a variety of surfaces, including smooth road surface (not easy to find in Blackpool), pot-holed roads, gravel, and sand covered paths (not the beach).

Overall great grip, corners well and quick. Only problem I had was getting them on - first time got a pinch flat but never mounted a folding tyre before.

Been using these for a couple of thousand KM's so far and was skeptical in the beginning due to the low cost. Have to say i am very impressed with them and they have exceeded all my expectations . Not a single cut in the tyre, no punctures and good consistent grip in the wet. An ideal tyre for the winter!
Having switched over from Continental 4 Season which in my experience are nearly 3 times the price and a lot less reliable puncture wise! A great purchase!
