    Product feature
    1. Water repellency:
Your Inshore Polar Fleece is made water repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment causes water to slide over the surface without soaking in. This prevents the component from swelling, and keeps it lightweight. This treatment must be renewed several times throughout the product's lifetime. Water-repellent treatment products are available in our stores
    2. What is breathability and the RET index?
A fabric's breathability is its ability to disperse water vapour produced by the body (perspiration). It can be measured using the RET index (Resistance to Evaporative Transfer). The RET is a resistance index; the lower the value, the greater the breathability of the garment. RET between 6 and 12: very breathable; RET between 12 and 20: breathable; RET above 20: not breathable. Our products are very breathable, with a RET between 7.2 and 12.
    3. What is breathability and the RET index?
The breathability of your Inshore Polar Fleece corresponds to its ability to let perspiration generated by the body escape. It is measured by its Resistance to Evaporative Transfer (ISO 11092 standard). The RET is a resistance index; the lower the value, the greater the breathability of the fabric. RET between 6 and 9: extremely breathable, between 10 and 13: very breathable, between 14 and 17: breathable, between 18 and 20: little breathability, above 20: not breathable.
    4. What is the clo index?
The clo is the scale that measures the thermal resistance of your Inshore Polar Fleece. During the test, your technical garment's component is exposed to a temperature close to body temperature and a controlled exterior temperature. The clo index explains the ability of your Inshore Polar Fleece to retain your body heat inside the garment. The higher the clo index, the better the technical component will preserve the heat emitted by your body.
