    Product feature
    1. Use temperature:
We label all of our sleeping bags with a "comfort temperature" which is tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) in accordance with European standard EN 13537 of 11/04/2002. The "comfort temperature" is the lower temperature limit at which the user feels comfortable overall - neither hot nor cold - while lying in a relaxed position (temperature determined for an average woman under normal conditions of use). CHOOSE YOUR SLEEPING BAG ACCORDINGLY
    2. What are the temperature "limits" at which it can be used?
Comfort limit temperature: The minimum temperature at which a user feels comfortable overall - neither hot nor cold - while huddled up in the sleeping bag (as determined for an average male user under normal conditions).
    3. However, here's what you need to know about temperatures:
A sleeping bag does not produce any heat. Rather, it retains the heat produced by the body. If you are tired and cold and you slip inside a cold, damp sleeping bag, you will most likely feel cold no matter how good your bag! These temperatures depend on a person's ability to withstand cold (build, fatigue, etc.), his equipment (insulating mattress, etc.), the way he is dressed (if he is naked, wearing underwear, etc.), and weather conditions (damp, wind, etc.).
    4. Tips for warming up before getting into your sleeping bag:
Don't overdress (1 layer of clothes is enough) Keep your extremities warm: use hats, gloves, socks, bed warmers, rubbing, etc. A flask filled with hot water can be used as a foot or bed warmer (so long as there's no chance of it opening by accident!) Contract your muscles (70% of the energy you consume is transformed into heat) without making movements that could cause a draught.
    5. Maintenance tips
Wash your bag separately from other clothes or delicate colours, use 1/3 of a dose of washing powder, and select a synthetic cycle at 30°C. Stretch the bag out to dry in a dry, well-ventilated place out of the sun and away from heat sources or tumble dry low. Tip: a sleeping bag liner allows you to spread out washes and maintain good thermal performance.
    6. Composition
      Inner fabric: 100% polyester.Outer fabric: 100% polyester.Panel: 100% polyamide. Filling: 120 g/sqm 100% polyester technical wadding.
    7. A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impacts are calculated across its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall ABCDE score is attributed to help you more readily identify the products with the best environemental performance by comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.) Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental information. 2. Storage advice
Easily store your sleeping bag by stuffing it into its cover feet first. To keep it fluffed up, which will ensure good thermal performance, remove its cover and store it somewhere dry.

    • Not warm enough

Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I bought this a month back and used it on a hike in himalayas. The night temperature was between 5-10 degrees and I couldn't sleep all night because of the cold. I tried putting on all my warm clothes, that didnt work either.
If it can't sustain this temperature which is mentioned on the product, I don't think the price is justified.
I would like to get a 0 degree sleeping bag instead of this. If decathlon can help me exchange it then it would be good.
      Lightweight
      Doesn't justify the mentioned temperature.
      Response of the brand
      Hi Ravi,

Thank you for posting your review on the Forclaz 10 Light sleeping bag. I am sorry to hear that you couldn't get a good night sleep during your hike in the Himalayas.
Forclaz 10 light has 10 degrees centigrade as Comfort temperature.
The "Comfort temperature" on the sleeping bag is tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) in accordance with the European standard EN13537.
A 12mm insulating mat is kept under the sleeping bag and the user is wearing one layer of synthetic thermals and socks.
This comfort temperature is the lower temperature limit at which the user feels comfortable while lying on his "back". The "Comfort limit temperature" is the minimum temperature at which the user feels comfortable while lying in the "fetal" position.

However, here is what you need to know about sleeping bags: a sleeping bag does not generate any heat, it only holds the heat produced by your body, therefore if you are tired and cold and you get in a cold and damp sleeping bag, you are most likely to feel cold no matter how warm is the sleeping bag. These temperatures depend on the personal's ability to withstand cold( build, fatigue etc), his equipment (insulating mats) and the way he is dressed.
Also the thermal insulation of the sleeping bags is affected by many factors- e.g. air, humidity, wind speed, quality of insulating mattress, cold perception. Cold perception is very individual. It depends on acclimatisation, mental condition, fitness, food, etc.
A silk or polyster liner and a thin insulating Forclaz mat should help in retaining more warmth.

Please email me your contact detail so I can look into the matter for you.

      Many thanks,

i purchase this from Decathlon Zirakpur just yesterday and thought to give it a try before venturing outdoors. I left the sleeping bag of 1399 from same company because of big size. so if one is going in springs in hilly areas where nights become cold this stuff is pretty cool but costly. otherwise friends it can not tolerate cold of December month what about to say Jan or Feb. Even my simple Rs 1000 quilt does wonderful work and I would suggest a simple quilt over it.
      outer clothing is very good
      it seems bit over priced
      Response of the brand
      Hi Monty,

Thank you for your feedback on the Forclaz 10 Degree Light Hiking Camping Sleeping Bag.

It can be used comfortably at 10 degrees Celsius and can stretch up to 5 degrees Celsius given that the person using the sleeping bag is wearing appropriate clothing. The sleeping bag does not generate heat but retains the body heat produced. If you are exhausted cold and slip inside you sleeping bag while still cold and wet you will remain cold regardless of the sleeping bag's qualities. These temperatures therefore depend on the individual's resistance to cold (build fatigue etc.) their equipment (mattress providing insulation from the ground etc.) their clothing (nude base layer etc.) and the weather conditions (damp wind etc.).

The price of the sleeping bag is such because it is light-weight and compact.
